Beechwood park barrier

After a phone call from a Holmfield resident, complaining about parking at the Beechwood drive/Grange avenue side of the park, the safer cleaner greener dept decided to look at re-opening the barrier to the car park. Everyone who lives around this area will know what problems we, as local residents, had in the past, when the car park was open 24/7. Speeding cars, drug dealing, threats of violence to dog walkers and many other sorts of Anti Social Behaviour. For the last 3 years since we got the barrier erected, local folks and their childrens lives have been much happier and safer. Myself and Jane Shooter, handed in a petition last Friday to Calderdale council, which was signed by every single resident on Beechwood drive and Grange avenue, that answered their doors. The council has now made it clear that the barrier will remain locked at all times, unless there is a activity going on that needs extra car parking, i believe this is a commensense approach, and thanks to everyone who signed the petition.

DO I SCREAM ALONE?

Do sufficient numbers of our English people fully grasp the terrible damage inflicted on Mother England by mass immigration legal or illegal and the vicious, anti-white racist cult of multiculturalism? Will we, as a people, find the will to act to defend ourselves from this invasion and the sickness within or will we as a people just perish in shame?
Does a nation deserve to survive if it will not take the necessary steps for its own survival? What is it about a people that were so resolute and determined to resist Hitler in the summer of the Spitfire and Hurricane yet have allowed themselves to be overrun by aliens from without and traitors from within?
There used to be men and women of honour, moral and intellectual courage in the Mother of Parliaments. What do we have now? Our political class are parasites and Quislings who have betrayed England who see no point in protecting and nurturing that which has been created and forged over the centuries. Our politicians do not serve England: they serve those who hate us and would enslave us.
My English heart beats faster, more urgently when I recall Nelson’s words before Trafalgar or Churchill’s as we bore the brunt of the Luftwaffe. Yet when I see what is happening to England I am cast into a pit of despair and loneliness. Yet in this despair and loneliness I am conscious that there is something greater than I; that England, my land, my people, my history, the shame and the glory must be defended from her violators.
The land of my birth is not a brothel for the world. She is my holy Mother. On a cold, wind-swept Yorkshire moor or in a soft Kentish meadow on a summer’s day I feel her love for me, her strength. I crave her love. I cannot live without it. I cannot bear to see her mocked, derided and treated like a whore. And through the trees and leaves, in the singing of the trout stream and in the silent frost of winter she calls out to me, her wayward son, still the little English boy, with a message for England’s men and women: “Do not abandon me to whoredom dishonour and slavery. Remember you are come of a great people. The sternest tests are still before you. So use, my sons and daughters, your hearts and minds and fight the great evil and pestilence which have fallen upon us.
And if you are true to the spirit and soul of our ancestors, victory in this struggle will be ours. God bless you”.

North Halifax bowling green rent increase

Below is the council response to my e-mail, asking why bowling club rents will double this year. Many members are elderly and will find it difficult to meet this rise.
Good Morning Cllr Bates

I apologise for the delay in responding to your emails of last week.

With regards the increase in the bowls season ticket price I have the following information, which I would also be happy for you to distribute.  The bowls season ticket has undergone such a substantial increase for the 2011/12 season due to  ticket prices being maintained at an artificially low price for a number of years.  Regular maintenance of a bowling green is demanding of both labour and materials, over a twelve month period but particularly between March and October, last year bowling green maintenance cost the council £7,000 per green.  Whilst the council are able to provide a subsidised facility for our residents, we are unable to maintain such a significant difference between the cost of maintenance against the revenue received. To ensure that ticket prices remain good value to our customers we have completed research in to other local private club costs and also those of our neighbouring authorities, we established the following:

Private Clubs
Booth Town £25.00
Thrumhall £40.00
Hipperholme & Lightcliffe £20.00

Neighbouring Local Authorities
Kirklees Community Bowling is £15.00 membership.
Bradford 2011 ( outdoor prices):- £50.21 per season or £37.66

We do however appreciate that this is a significant increase at relatively short notice to our bowls clubs, if there are clubs that are experiencing difficulty in meeting the full cost, we would be happy to offer an option to pay over two instalments.  If you are aware of any clubs who would like to take up this offer please ask them to contact Diane Atha on 01422 393255.

Hate-Filled Poppy Burners Laugh at £50 Fine – An Appeal from Nick Griffin

As most of the country is now no doubt aware, a Muslim fanatic has been fined a mere £50 for burning poppies and chanting hate slogans on Armistice Day.
Emdadur Choudhury, 26, was part of a demonstration by members of Muslims Against Crusaders who protested at the end of a march celebrating the UK's armed forces.
The group chanted through a two-minute silence with slogans such as "British soldiers, burn in hell." Choudhury waved a protest flag and then set fire to two large plastic poppies. Choudhury was convicted of actions "likely to cause harassment, harm or distress".
He did not even bother to attend court to hear his sentence. When asked why he had not attended the hearing, Choudhury said: "I did not want to waste my time on something which is really insignificant. This fine, I will wear it as a badge on my shoulder. I did it for Allah. I did it to raise awareness that these so-called soldiers are the criminals. They are the ones who should be tried for war crimes."

Choudhury himself boasted: "It's £10 less than a parking ticket."

His £50 fine was means tested after his lawyer said he earned £480 a month from part-time work and got £792 a month in benefits. The maximum fine for his offence – the least serious of public order crimes – is £1,000.
As this Muslim nut is happy to take benefits from our Welfare State, it will be the hard-pressed British taxpayer who pays his fine in reality. You really couldn't make it up! Words can scarcely express how angry this makes me.

Council Response To Non English Speaking Taxi Drivers E-mail

Below, is a the e-mail response of Calderdale council's licensing department, i also visited their office today and they told me that the taxi driver involved in last weeks death, did not have any problems with his English. If that's the case, then why did he need a interpreter in court? I will continue to look into this and find out what is going on, i still find it so hard to believe though, that there is no requirement to undergo tests for speaking English, in such a customer first environment.

Dear Councillor Bates

I apologise for the delay in responding to your email enquiry of 8th March 2011.

I am attaching for your information a copy of the Guidance Notes which are sent to any new applicant for either a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire Driver licence.

In summary you will note that any new driver must:

Be over 21
Have held a full DVLA licence for at least 2 years
Have had a medical examination to show they are fit to hold a licence
Have had a Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB)
Passed a Driving Standards Agency (DSA) driving test, including wheelchair test if Hackney Carriage driver
Passed a Calderdale knowledge test

If anything is revealed on a CRB check that may bring into question the applicants fitness to hold a licence then that person is interviewed to establish the details of any convictions/cautions and a decision is made as to whether they are considered fit a proper to hold a licence.

The requirements for applicants to pass a DSA test and knowledge test were introduced in 2005 and 2008 respectively and were not applied to existing drivers, unless substantiated complaints about their driving or knowledge of the area were made.

There is no requirement to undergo a test of an applicants spoken English.  However if the applicants understanding of English is very poor, and likely to cause difficulties when dealing with customers, then we have advised them to delay their application until such time as they have undertaken an English speaking course.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Budget council

Last night i attended the Town Hall, for the setting of this year's budget. It was a eventful evening, the public gallery was packed with union repesentation, and the police were called in to eject one angry man who refused to listen to the Mayor and continued shouting out against the cuts. This forced a 10 minute recess, until the police, had brought the situation, back under control. For the first time in many year's, the opposition Conservatives, failed to table a budget, stating, very childishly, " there was no point, because it would not get voted through ". The tories, did put 3 amendments to the cabinet proposal's though, which were, (1) To stop a increase in leisure and sports charges, (2) To take less money off the Health & Social Care budget, (3) To stop a increase in parking charges, i voted in favour of these amendments, but the Lib/Lab coalition voted against them, so that was that.  I believe, that the Government is cutting too much, too fast, but i agree, that after year's of Labour bankrupting Britain, something needs to be done to get out of this massive debt.
